Every day, the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) serves over 4.4 million children and 131,000 adults. May 8, 2018 marks the 50th anniversary of the CACFP!
Centers and day care homes have supported the wellness, health, and development of children and adults for half a century.

State CACFP agencies have until May 30, 2018 to apply for a $100,000 noncompetitive CACFP Meal Service Training Grant. States may use these funds to provide training for CACFP operators on topics such as meal planning, special dietary accommodations, recipe development, types of meal service, culinary training, and the selection and purchase of foods for program meals and snacks.
