USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service invites you to participate in a listening session for the Agriculture Improvement Act (commonly referred to as the 2018 Farm Bill) on March 13 (Wednesday) from 2:00 pm ET to 3:00 pm ET.
The purpose of this listening session is for FNS to hear from the public; this is not a discussion with FNS officials or a question-and-answer session. The purpose is for FNS to receive public input that the agency can factor into discretionary decisions that need to be made to implement the provisions of the Farm Bill.
You must register to participate in the conference call at: https://usdafnsocco.wufoo.com/forms/farm-bill-listening-session-tefap-csfp/ by 2pm on March 13. We strongly encourage you to submit written comments via email to SM.FN.farmbillcommodity@usda.gov. Those comments plus the recorded conference call will serve as the public record of this session.
In order to hear from as many people as possible, we will ask that everyone be very brief in their remarks as we go through the provisions of the Farm Bill so we can hear from as many callers as possible.
Everyone may submit comments via email any time between March 7 and March 20.
